Haiku has now released R1 Alpha1, which is their first release. There’s still much work to be done on the way to Haiku R1, among which is better hardware support. There’s still work being done on ATA and the HDA audio driver, along with continuing work on OSS. Also there is a project to get wireless networking support, which is making progress. So a lot is going on with Haiku. If you haven’t tried it, or haven’t tried it recently, get a copy and give it a test out. If you find any issues be sure to read the Welcome info and provide feedback.
