New Driver Fund Target
{mosimage}With the news that Haiku now has preliminary support for intel graphics cards comes the need for hardware to test out new code on. To do this, BeDrivers is going to target the Driver Hardware Fund at raising funds to buy hardware and/or to pay for shipping of donated older hardware (no loaned hardware must be no strings attached giving it away) to Axel for further improvements to the driver. So if you have an intel graphics chipset or just want to helpout, just click the paypal link and give what you can. Discuss further in the forum, under video drivers.
Intel Extreme Graphics Driver
Haiku legend Axel Dörfler, has released version 0.1.0 alpha of the Intel Extreme Graphics Driver. Axel writes “The supported chipset is also known as Intel Extreme 2, but it’s planned to expand the list of supported chips in both directions, that is support for newer graphics chips and older ones is on the wish list.
Unfortunately, I only have a i865 chip with analog output, and that’s exactly what this driver supports at this point. If you have similar hardware, and want it to be supported, I need your support (or hardware 
to achieve this.”
