yellowTab releases Zeta 1.1 Live CD as a free download
Zeta 1.1 Live CD is now available as a free download. A big thank you goes to yellowTab f A lot of people are interested in Zeta, but want to make sure it’s going to work on their PC first.
I was surprised to see it boot up fine on my laptop, seeing as it has a Radeon 9600 mobility chip in it which has so far not worked with the openly available BeOS/Haiku radeon driver. I’ll do some further hardware checkout with the Live CD soon and report what else is working/not working.
At first glance it seems my external USB hard drive wasn’t working, but I didn’t spend much time to see if it was even detected.or making this available.
Haiku / BeOS drivers
{mosimage}The latest builds of Haiku drivers are now available in the Haiku Build Factory. So if you are looking for BeOS / Haiku drivers for your sound card, video card or something else, check to see if it’s in there.
Also if you’re familiar with how to install BeOS and mount images in BeOS, Haiku now has their HD images being built, get the latest one here to see how it’s coming along. Warning this is pre-beta only.
